Kim Singletary will be our speaker. Kim:

• is married to Mike Singletary, the Hall of Fame former Chicago Bears linebacker and NFL coach
• is mother of 7 children and one son-in-law
• admittedly relies on God and His Word, where He promises that all things are possible through Him

When someone decides to get right with God through faith and repentance, part of the outward sign of accepting Jesus as their Savior is by being baptized.

Baptism offers a powerful picture of life change: we go under the water to demonstrate that we have surrendered our lives to Him, and we rise back out to proclaim He has washed away our sins and given us a new life.

Are you ready to take this step in your walk with Christ? Or maybe you’re interested in learning more about baptism to decide if you’re truly ready. If so, then sign up for the Baptism Class at the Main Campus.

Our Baptism Class is Thursday, February 9. We’ll walk you through the details and reasons for Baptism, provide you with the basics for the celebration night, and answer any of your questions. The Baptism Celebration will be held Sunday, February 12, 6:00-7:30pm at the Main Campus.

If you want to be baptized, plan to attend the Baptism Class on Thursday, February 9 at the Main Campus.

• The Sonlight parent/child class is 6:30-8pm (for those age 12 and younger)
• The Student/Adult class is 7-8pm (for those age 13 and older)

This program is for infants through Kindergarten. Children will be divided by ages: Infants, Crawlers, Walkers, 2/3, and 4/5 + Kindergarten. There will be a short Bible story and coloring page for appropriate ages, plus craft time, a snack, and large muscle playtime.

All students and LCA staff are CPR trained.

Holiday Office Hours: The church offices will be closed December 26, 27, and 30. The office hours for December 28-29 will be 9am-5pm.

Due to how quickly tickets were distributed for the 4:00 and 5:45pm service, we expect those two services to be “nice and cozy.” If you were not able to get tickets or don’t have them yet, we would suggest attending either the 2:15pm or 7:30pm time slots.

Kids 2 Kids

This past year, we added a new tradition. As we positioned ourselves for God to pry open each individual’s awesome potential, we were given an opportunity to apply some of that potential by serving in the very community that we stay in each year. The group spent part of a day helping out in the local Grand County food bank. What seemed like a little thing turned out to be a big help to the people in Grand County and had a lasting impact on our entire group.

In 2011, we FULLY stocked the food bank, thrift store, and paid for the food bank delivery in the month of April. This freed up 80% of their budget!

This year, we want to help Mountain Family Center with their Tote Bag program. This program provides kids in school with a Tote Bag of food to take home on the weekends to make sure no kid goes hungry.

You can help the Ski Trip kids fill Tote Bags by bringing non-perishable food items to the 2nd Mile Adventures office (1740 Park Ave., Winona Lake, IN). We will be partnering with other local businesses and setting up at different locations to help gather donations.

Sunday Mornings

In the event of severe weather, a decision about canceling will be made 2 hours prior to 1st service time.

We will operate on a progressive cancellation schedule. If we cancel first service, but the weather looks like it will improve, we will assess if we can have either of the other 2 services.

If we cancel all Sunday services, we will schedule a 7pm Monday night service.

Weekly Events

If Warsaw Community Schools have a weather-related cancellation, all morning church activities will be cancelled and the decision for evening activities will be made by 3pm.

If the school is on a two-hour delay, then morning activities are cancelled, but afternoon and evening activities will be as scheduled.

The same process for communicating the event status for Sunday will apply for weekly events.
